Christmas came early for this lucky gal! I just got a new camera from my Dad and Natalie for Christmas and am SOOOO excited to play around with it. I have been wanting a good camera for a while now and the time has finally come.
It was a long process to find my perfect camera, so many decisions to be made: do I get a Nikon or a Canon, do I really need an HD 1080p video on it, what model do I get, what lens do I need, what does all of these technical terms mean. Soooo many things to know about buying a camera like this. I did a lot of research and found an amazing deal on this Nikon D5100 and couldn't pass it up. I was told it was a great beginner camera that I could grow with so I was sold.
I have been playing around with it and am loving it so far! I will update with some pics taken from the new camera soon!!

TEN Facts of Nicole Marie
Oops, sorry, haven't posted in a few days I was kind of lazy I guess. Anywho, thought I would share a little Nicole Marie 411.
2) I have a bad habit of running my fingers through my hair and pulling out all the loose hairs. I hope I don’t go bald faster because of this.
3) I hate working out with a passion. The mere thought of it makes me cringe. I go through phases though, a month from now I could turn into a work-out-o-holic.
4) I'm a foodoholic. I love Mexican, Thai and Japanese food. I hate American food.
5) I love Reality TV. I can't help it. Something about it gets me going.
6) I own just over 100 pairs of shoes and yet I still don’t have enough.
7) My shopping addiction is getting worse and worse, maybe it’s time to change careers and be a personal shopper or stylist so I can shop for others and not spend all my own money. Might help satisfy the craving, then again, it could make me want to shop more. Shoot.
8) I want a puppy badly but I couldn’t even handle two fish. After a week I tried to flush them down the toilet before my boyfriend stopped me.
9) I love everything Disney. I love DisneyWorld, Disney Movies and Minnie Mouse.
10) I have a special pillow that I travel with everywhere. I have taken it all over Europe, Central and South America, Mexico and all over the US. Sensitive neck.
1) I use sunscreen on my face everyday, even in the winter.

Fashion Inspiration
One of my favorite fashion inspirations is Miss Rachel Bilson. I absolutely love her look. She is always dressed so effortlessly chic, fun and girly. She loves to play with clothes and I love that about her but she also stays true to herself and her unique style. Can I rummage through your closet please Rachel, thanks! :)
Love her!

Picking My Pumpkin
Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the smell of Fall in the air, the ever changing colors of the leaves, and the spooky decorations throughout the town. I also of course LOVE dressing up for the occasion, carving pumpkins and eating pumpkin pie!
Sara and I decided to do a corn maze for our first time and then pick out a pumpkin to carve this weekend. The corn maze was very fun. It was in the shape of Dracula and surprisingly harder than we thought it would be.
After the maze we went next door to my favorite farm where you actually go out into their field to truly pick your own pumpkin. Its gorgeous out there and a fun little adventure. After some pics and major searching we finally found out perfect pumpkins. We plan to carve them this weekend. I will post our final product after!

The beginning of the maze
Somewhere in the middle
Once we got the groove down but a dew times our conversation went like this: "I think we are on his eyeball" "no I think we are on his nose" "ok wait I know where we are now, no wait I don't". The funniest part about it was when we got the map they had their phone number on the top in case you for real got lost! The guy said someone called him 30 minutes prior for help to get out. What I want to know is how do they find those people?! "Hi I am lost" "Ok where are you at" "Ummmm I am surrounded by corn with a 6 possible ways I can go". Also it is a good thing we brought our rain boots to change into because it was muddy as a pigs pen.
On a bridge with the maze in the background
Sooooo muddy!
Trying to pick a winner
Still searching
The chosen one!
We plan to carve them this weekend. I will post our final product after!

Get To Know Me ABC’s
Age: A girl never tells. JK That’s what old people say. I am 27 almost 28. A weird age I feel like.
Brother: I have a younger but bigger brother who is a mini but not so mini version of my fasha.
Chore I hate: All of them, I hate cleaning, doing dishes and doing the laundry.
Dreams: To travel all over the world without a care.
Essentials: I cannot live without my shoes, mascara, chapstick, a mirror, food (I eat a lot, this is not just a survival thing) and TV.
Favorite color: I honestly don’t know. I love purple but I don’t wear it or have anything purple. So I guess I would have to say my favorite color is black, and yes it is a color. I wear lots of black. I am working on trying to expand my color palette.
Gold or Silver: This is a tough one. I have gone through phases where I only like gold and hated silver and phases when I loved silver and hated gold. Currently at this moment I love them both and even wear them together sometimes!
Hair Color: Naturally blond, errrrrrrrr, well I used to be.
Inspiration: Culture, colors and duh, fashion.
Job: Professional unemployed human, entrepreneur and blogger.
Kodak moment: Me in Hawaii.
Live: In Portland, Oregon (yes it is currently raining).
My favorite accessory: An amazing big chunky necklace is my weakness. The bigger and chunkier the better.
Nicknames: Cole, Coley, RPC, Small Brain, Thing 2, Giraffe (pronounce her-aff-ee) and Nikki if your name is Teddy.
Over It: So over this whole no summer thing that was taken away from me here. My skin did not get enough real rays this “summer” and that depresses me.
Pet peeve: Ahhhhh my favorite subject. I honestly have way too many to share on here but I will tell you a few of my top ones!
1. People who chew gum or eat with their mouth open, come on people! I do not
want to see your food while you are eating a hot dog or hear the disgusting
slap noises your gum makes as you chew it like a cow.
2. People who are slow. If you walk slow, think slow or move slow (excluding
old people and the handicap) it annoys me.
3. People who have no common sense.
4. People who don’t have basic manners: please, thank you, excuse me in case
you forgot.
5. People who wear Teva’s with socks.
Quote I like: “The only thing constant is change” - Buddha
Ring flare: I also LOVE a great loud ring. I love to have a giant piece of flare as I call it sparkling amongst my fingers. It can really help pull together an outfit too. Specially if the outfit has a lot going on but just needs that one small touch of something to finish it. A ring can do that for you.
Spiders: They are my kryptonite. I literally begin to shiver, get goose bumps and almost pass out when I see one in my house. I can’t get near them, I definitely can’t kill one and I can’t stop thinking about them for hours after. Yes, I have cried while attempting to kill them when no one else is around to kill them for me.
Time I wake up at: hahaha you don’t want to know. Sometimes 10, sometimes 11, sometimes 11:30!
Umbrella: It has officially been taken out of hibernation.
Vegetables: I actually love them all! When I was a child that’s a different story, but I am now a bonified vegi lover. I would call myself a vegetarian but I do love me all kinds seafood.
What’s next: Moving to Europe next year! Ohhhhh ya!
Xanax: I could use one right about now.
Yorkshire Terrier: I want one yet know that I am too irresponsible for this little yet large responsibility these days. Not to mention the vet bills are killer.
Zoo animals I love: My most recent trip I fell in love with the otter that didn’t want me to leave, the giant orangutan who gave a good show and the monkey who was picking the bugs off of his friends head and eating them.

Boooooooo!
People who know me well know I LOVE to scare people. It’s a sick obsession I have that I gain a lot of pleasure from. It started as long ago as I can remember. As a wee little lad I was always finding new hiding places and planning someone’s ultimate pants wetting experience. I find it side wrenchingly hilarious when people are scared. Someone’s natural reaction upon being truly scared for their life is always different. You never know what kind of reaction you will get from someone (unless you scare that person all the time like I do to my boyfriend). Some people cry, some throw punches, some pee their pants, some have a brief stint of short breaths, some start laughing immediately after, some get very mad and some are just like deer in headlights.
The biggest targets I have scared multiple times are my mom, my brother, my two cousins and the #1 target, my boyfriend.
I would like to share with you some short stories of my best scaring moments:
When we were younger my brother never made his bed (probably still doesn’t but I don’t either (sorry dad)). His bed was up against the wall in a corner of his room and he would always just push the covers over to the side where the wall was when he got up in the morning. One day, I had the genius idea to hide under the bunchy part of the covers so when he got in the bed at night to go to sleep I would pop out from inside the blankets. That night I did just that! After scaring him he cried and was angry (probably more scared though, that was a good one). My mom was trying to sooth him but was also secretly laughing because she was in on it and knew what I was doing. Evil mother!
Another classic brother scaring story is when his best friend Chris was coming over to spend the night (which was the usual, he pretty much lived at our house). For some totally normal reason I had a black ski mask and had the idea to crawl onto our roof (also a totally normal, we hung out on the roof all the time), put on the ski mask and tap on his window with a golf club. I know pretty extreme, but was an amazing scare.
One summer when I was younger my mom sent me to my nana’s house in Florida to stay a month with her. During that month I scared my poor grandma many times. My favorite spot was under the bar top in the kitchen. I would scare her as she was walking from the kitchen to her room. I got her every time even though she knew I would be there! She would then yell, “Your going to give me a heart attack gosh darn it!” and I would laugh and proceed to scare her time after time. Poor nana probably jumped for months after thinking I would still be there.
One random summer evening at dusk me and my two cousins decided to watch Scary Movie at home in the TV room at their house. Melissa and I had seen the movie already, Christina had not. We put in motion a plan of attack. Since we knew when all the scary parts were we decided we would have Melissa casually walk out of the room, go to the outside of the house, and BANG on the window when the scary part came. Brilliant. The scary part came and Christina’s back was right up against the window, *BANG*!!! Let’s just say Christina was in my lap on the couch next to her in 0.02 seconds.
One of my scaring specialties is finding a random unplanned great moment to scare people. About a month ago my mom was over at my house and we were going to go out to do something. I was in my room getting dressed and she was in the living room telling me a story. Since she was the one talking I could tell where she was at any given moment. (At this point I wasn’t even thinking about scaring her.) I was coming around the corner about to walk into the living room when it just so happened I could hear her about to come into my room from the living room. I immediately without hesitation or thinking yelled “RRRAAAAWWWWW!!”. I then slightly lost my hearing from the blood curdling scream that came next. I for sure thought the neighbors would come over thinking I was murdered. (They didn’t, good thing to know in case someone actually breaks into my apartment to murder me.)
On to the best part, my poor boyfriend Oliver. Since we live together I get opportunities every day to scare him. Luckily I am nice and only scare him about once a week. One of my favorite scaring moments was when he was on his computer in our den. I know that he gets super zoned into his computer which is a great time to get him good. Problem is, the computer faces the rest of the apartment, he doesn’t face a wall so I can just creepy up behind him. I decided to slowly army crawl (I am literally on my stomach, inch by inch, limb by limb crawling) toward him. Once I got close enough I grabbed his legs and yelled “RRRRRAAAWWWW”!! He just about shit his pants and flew out of his seat almost knocking over the computer and wetting his pants.
Another great time I scared him while he was on the computer was when I was too lazy to army crawl so I decided to slowly crawl on all fours, verrrrry verrrrry slowly. I must have been moving slightly too fast because he looked up and saw me, but to my delight he screamed out loud and threw his body back a foot. He told me he thought I was a devil rat baby as pictured below.
I scare Oliver everywhere, when he’s in the shower, when he’s taking a cat nap, I hide in the closet, in the kitchen cupboards, behind the couch, in his closet, anywhere and anyhow I scare him. I am in tears right now I can barely see the screen I am laughing so hard remembering all of these good times I have scared him. Does this make me evil? I didn’t think so. It just makes me an extreme human to go to these extents to gain personal pleasure.
The only thing I regret is not videotaping most of these masterpieces. I could have a great video collage going right now or maybe my own TV show about my adventures while scaring people.
Sometimes I blow a scare though by beginning to laugh uncontrollably while waiting in a scare position by simply imagining in my head what their reaction will be two seconds from that moment when I scare them.
Well, that’s all for now. If I have scared you, feel free to leave a comment on how great I was! I am actually shocked no one has sent in a submission to scare me back on the show Scare Tactics, oh how I love that show. I could watch it for hours!
And P.S. I wouldn’t even try to scare me if I were you, people try to scare me back all the time and I usually don’t even flinch. If you get a flinch from me you are lucky.
